The Parish Pastoral Council invites your input concerning matters relative to our parish. All emails will be reviewed at the monthly PPC meetings. If you have personal or sacramental needs, please contact the Parish Office or staff.
Saint Elizabeth is a large parish with a lot going on. We have long practiced the philosophy of shared wisdom in governing our parish. To this goal the pastor is advised by three groups made up of interested parishioners and some staff members.
Each meet on a monthly basis and all are invited to join them or to propose agenda items. If you are interested in serving on one of these administrative and support groups please contact the group contact for information.
The Parish Pastoral Council works to establish broad goals and policies for the parish family, in cooperation with the priests, ministry directors, and lay commissioners. This task requires the input from members of the parish community.
The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is as follows:
The Finance Advisory Committee of the parish is the consultative group which assists the pastor in carrying out the common burden of the material administration of the parish. It has the obligation of planning, and supervising the financial affairs and physical properties of the parish. The Finance Advisory Committee is concerned with parish resources, the budget, church support, and the effective utilization and maintenance of the parish plant.
The collaboration of the Finance Advisory Committee with the pastor and parish staff is intended to assist the pastor in his responsibility for the parish. The Finance Advisory Committee serves the spiritual growth of the parish community and its work must be guided by the overall mission of the parish community. Time should be spent by the Finance Advisory Committee to foster the spiritual growth of its members and to develop a deeper understanding of the Church.
