The goal of this ministry is to provide comfort and support to individuals and their families within our community who are living with or have been touched by HIV and/or AIDS.
We seek to promote understanding through awareness and by example. We work with the AIDS Service of North Texas.
On the second Sunday of each month the Supper Club takes a prepared meal and serves it to the Residents at two of the facilities of Aid Services of Dallas, the Ewing and Hillcrest Houses. You do not need to be a chef to help with this project. We always need purchased items such as canned drinks, desserts, and condiments. If you like to cook, or perhaps you have a specilaty, please refer to our monthly menus.
We also need people to help us transport the food, set it out, and then help serve the meal. You are encouraged to visit with the Residents and share the meal with them. Servers leave the church at 3:30 p.m. and return about 6:00 p.m.
There is only one meeting a year but we always welcome your input on the menus.
