Donations you wish to include for the 2016 Tax Year must be dated and received or postmarked by December 31, 2016. You may place your gift in the collection, mail or deliver to the Parish Business Office at 2701 Piedra Dr., Plano, TX 75023. You may also schedule your gift through Faith Direct for the December draft or as a One-Time Gift. Pledge payments for Our Faith... Our Future or the Bishop’s Annual Appeal should be submitted directly to those offices. Please refer to your most recent statement or the website for Diocesan payment deadlines the Bishop's Appeal and below for the Diocesan Our Faith ... Our Future capital campaign.
If you have appreciated stock this year, you may realize a tax break through a donation to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Consult your tax advisor for your situation. For donation instructions, please contact Marianne Larson in the Business Office at 972 596-5505, Ext 4225 or email@example.com.
If you are 70 ½ or older and have a Required Minimum Distribution from your retirement plan, you may benefit from a directed gift to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Talk to your tax advisor or plan administrator and let them know if you are interested in the possible tax benefit.
Gifts received or processed online after December 31, 2016 will be included in your 2017 giving statement.
Dear Our Faith… Our Future Diocese of Dallas Capital Campaign Participant,
As the calendar year end approaches, we would like to offer a couple of reminders regarding Internal Revenue Service regulations surrounding your gifts to the Our Faith… Our Future Diocese of Dallas Capital Campaign during the month of December.
Consistent with Internal Revenue Service regulations, all year-end gifts must be postmarked by the Post Office with a 2016 date to be recorded as a gift in 2016. The postmark on the envelope determines the year the gift is recorded.
Examples for clarification are listed below:
TCF will also record all hand delivered gifts received at the Foundation on Friday, December 30, 2016, by noon as a 2016 gift. We are located at 12222 Merit Drive Suite 850 Dallas, TX 75251 and can be reached at 972-661-9792.
Contributions charged on a donor’s bank credit card are only deductible in the year the charge is made. If a donor wants to make a gift or pay a pledge payment by credit card for 2016 they must have their written request to TCF by noon on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
ALL PAYMENTS GIVEN TO PARISH PERSONNEL MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE CATHOLIC FOUNDATION by NOON ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2015 IN ORDER TO BE COUNTED AS A 2016 GIFT.
Finally, marketable securities must be received in our Merrill Lynch account by Friday, December 16, 2016. Please alert us as to the type and shares of stock you will be gifting.
