Habitat 2020 Build - Update #12 

Saturday August 8th was another workday on the 2020 Habitat recycle house in the Douglass Community in east Plano.  We had a good showing of crew chiefs and volunteers on the build – for that, we thank everyone for coming out.  The house is really moving along and a lot was done on Saturday.  This included:

•    Painting the final coat on the front and side doors and the trim boards surrounding the windows.
•    Installing a few of the interior door frames and doors.  Not as easy as it sounds in ensuring everything is level in order for the doors to close properly.
•    Installing the floors.  We were a few boards short in completely finishing the floors in the dry areas of the house.  We still need to install a different type of flooring in the wet areas (i.e. bathrooms).  After the floors are installed, we tape down a floor covering to protect them while construction continues.
