Work continued on the 2020 Habitat recycle house in the Douglass Community in east Plano on Saturday June 13
th. The volunteers were from the Plano parishes of Seton, St. Mark, and Prince of Peace. There were a number of tasks for the day, including removing the gutters and painting the trim boards for the interior of the house.
We also applied primer paint to the fascia behind the gutters, the shed in the back yard, and the upper part of the front of the house that was not completed last week. The upper part had a different design pattern that had a lot of grooves, making painting with a brush somewhat difficult and time consuming, (which is something no one was excited about in the heat). However, one of the volunteers brought his paint sprayer which made the job easier and more effective. Before we quit for the day, all the primer had been applied and we had time to apply the first of two coats of the final paint color to some parts of the exterior.
