A lot of progress has been made on completing the outside projects on the duplex. This includes building and backfilling the retaining wall, installing gutters and the outside air conditioning units, laying sod in the front, side and back yards, and pouring the concrete for the parking pads. (See the pictures.)
The Seton Habitat Team mentioned a few weeks ago that the Dedication of this second house has not yet been rescheduled, but once it has, the new date and time will be announced in the bulletin, at masses, and on the Seton website.
We have had some questions regarding our third build. It will begin in twelve to eighteen months after the Dedication, depending on how long it takes to raise the funds for materials needed. A house requires approximately $75,000 for materials. This is usually a combination of cash and in-kind donations such as a roof, HVAC, cabinetry, etc. donated by parishioners. We will provide additional information and updates about our third build process.
If you (individual parishioner or business) are interested in donating coffee, lunches or drinks for volunteers during future builds, please contact Jessica Vieira at
Jessica.vieira@acpen.com.
