Seton Habitat Build Update #4: January 7, 2017

Seton’s second Habitat for Humanity build continued with our seventh build day on January 7, 2017.  To say that it was cold that day, would be an understatement.  It started in the mid to high teens in the morning and “warmed” up to around 30° by noon.  However, that did not stop the dedicated group of volunteers and crew chiefs who worked through the cold.  We had one main task that day which included putting on the remaining roof supports and sheathing.  This was critical at this point as Habitat wanted to have the roof installed, which is a skilled trade function.  After we accomplished that task, we called it a day shortly after lunch. 
 
Seton takes off for one week and our next scheduled build date is January 21, 2017.
 
In addition to the Seton volunteers who helped on Build Day #7, the Seton Habitat Team wants to thank:
 

• Spring Creek Barbecue at 270 N. Central Expy. in Richardson for suppling an excellent barbecue lunch with all the sides and fixin’s.
• Starbucks at Spring Creek near Central Expressway (Rt. 75) for donating the coffee.  In light of the cold weather, hot coffee was much appreciated!
