Emily Rhiannon Vitale, age 26, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020. She was born Emily Adams on May 21, 1994 in Plano, TX to Russell and Sharla Adams of Allen, TX. She married her high-school sweetheart Richard (Rick) Allen Vitale October 13, 2019 after being together 11 years.
Emily is survived by her husband, her beloved Boxer, Isabelle (Izzy), and her cat Boo, her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Teresa Vitale of Allen, TX, sister Jamie Prater and brother-in-law Chase along with nephew, Cohen of Little Elm, TX. Brothers-in-law TJ Vitale and wife Heather and Jordan Vitale and wife Tiara all of Allen, TX. Her grandmothers, Janie Lambert of Ivanhoe, TX and Polly Kendall Massey of Fruitvale, TX; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Emily was a 2012 graduate of Allen High School. She studied at Collin College and held the following positions over the years: barista at Starbucks, teacher at both Allen Montessori Academy and Little Marvels Montessori, and was a private nanny to a set of triplets. In 2017 she began her career at State Farm Insurance at the corporate office in Richardson, TX as an Underwriting Services Assistant. At the time of her death she held the position of Admin II for Centralized Administrative Support for national sales leaders.
Emily professed her faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 7. As a child she loved cats and horses and spent a couple of weeks each summer from elementary school through junior high at Horse Camps in North Texas and Arkansas. She also loved dogs and longed for a teacup pig. She participated in gymnastics, cheer, and dance and was a member of the dance team in high school.
Emily was extremely creative and artistic. She dabbled in learning the piano, keyboard, guitar, and as of late – drums. She could also sing very well and was a joy to watch when she thought people were not paying close attention. She loved to sketch and paint and was quite talented. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, and design – whether it be cosmetics, fashion, interior, or architecture. Emily was an avid reader, Nancy Drew mysterious when young and then on to the Twilight series. Her favorite books as a child were “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle and the “Chronicles of Narnia” series by C. S. Lewis. Her preferred book as a young adult was “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury. Halloween was her best-loved holiday, and she would go to great lengths to create her costumes and decorate for parties.
Emily was loyal, trustworthy, and fiercely head strong. She was sweet, kind, compassionate, empathetic and a good friend to others. She was funny and joyful and made others laugh. She was a registered organ donor, and her gift saved the lives of 3 people. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her and were blessed to have her in their lives.
