Dear Parish Family at Seton,

I am forwarding to you a letter, rather a “decree”, from the Bishop of Dallas. [See News article Decree from Bishop Edward Burns].  The Bishop is suspending public Masses from today until March 30, 2020. This is due to legitimate health concerns arising from the “Coronavirus.”

The Bishop is also dispensing everyone from their usual “Sunday Obligation” to attend Mass until March 30. Even though you are not required, in this circumstance, to attend Mass, Sunday is the Lord’s Day. We should spend some time in reflection and prayer and give thanks to God on Sunday. 

Our parish church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will be open during the regular hours if you wish to stop in and pray or reflect.

Please know your priests, deacons and staff regret that we are not able to share the Word of God and the Sacraments with you.

Our parish Confession schedule will remain intact. 

We will respond to Emergencies or urgent sick calls.

Most of our ministries will cancel their meetings and events until March 30.

Pray that things will soon get back to normal!

We look forward to Easter in April!
