Seton partners with other local congregations to provide a warm shelter and meal on cold winter nights. It is called the Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS). We are currently seeking a few more adults to join the effort to serve those that are experiencing homelessness. In addition, Seton has designated days coming up to help ring the bell for the Salvation Army as part of the proceeds goes towards supporting the POWS. Catholic Charities Dallas has been very busy helping those who have been struggling during the pandemic. They are in need of many more volunteers. They have a huge one day event on Friday, November 20th where they hope to distribute more than 60,000 pounds of food to 1,000 families just in time for Thanksgiving week.
