"Yam Jam" 10-14-17

"Yam Jam" on Oct. 14, 2017 - 61 volunteers made their way to Alba, TX to help "glean" sweet potatoes for food banks and food pantries in east and north Texas, as part of ongoing efforts organized by Helping Hands Gleaning Ministry - whose mission is to connect growers and suppliers of food with those in need!     We collected 8,400 pounds of sweet potatoes!!! Gleaning is biblical... "When you reap the harvest in your field and overlook a sheaf there, you shall not go back to get it; let it be fore the alien, the orphan or the widow, that the Lord, your God, may bless you in all your undertakings."   Deuteronomy 24:19
